This page describes exactly what AstroZuno collects and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
To draw your chart we need your name, birth date, birth time and birthplace, so we store those. They are linked to a cookie in your browser, not to an identity — we never ask for your email or phone number to produce a free reading. We keep it for 180 days so you can reopen your reading, then delete it automatically. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or run any tracking or analytics scripts.
What we collect, and why
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Name (first, middle, last) | To address the reading and the PDF | 180 days |
| Birth date, birth time, birthplace and its coordinates and timezone | These are the calculation — a chart cannot be computed without them | 180 days |
A cookie (az_sid) |
So you can reopen your own reading from this browser | 180 days |
| Your Yes / Partly / No answers | To measure whether readings are actually accurate rather than merely agreeable | 180 days |
| Page events (chart computed, PDF downloaded) | To see where people get stuck | 180 days |
| Your IP address, briefly, in memory | Rate limiting, so one visitor cannot exhaust the service for everyone | Not written to disk |
We do not ask for and do not hold your email address, phone number, payment details, government identifiers, or location beyond the birthplace you type.
Cookies
One cookie, az_sid, set by this site only. It is
HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, contains a random
identifier and nothing else, and exists so your reading can be shown back to
you. There are no third-party cookies, advertising cookies or analytics
cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to
consent to beyond the cookie that makes it work.
Who else touches it
Two companies process data on our behalf, and no others:
- Vultr — hosts the server, located in Mumbai, India. Your data is stored there.
- Cloudflare — delivers the site and holds our encrypted backups (Cloudflare R2). Because Cloudflare terminates the connection, it necessarily sees requests in transit.
Neither is permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, social media pixels, session recording, or any external astrology API. The astronomical calculations run on our own server using freely published NASA JPL ephemeris data.
Deletion, and your rights
Everything is deleted automatically after 180 days. You do not have to ask.
You may also ask us, at any time, to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it immediately. Email [email protected]. Because readings are tied to a browser cookie rather than to an account, please send the report link from the reading you want removed — otherwise we have no reliable way to identify your records, and we would rather tell you that than pretend to a certainty we do not have.
Clearing this browser's cookies also breaks the link between you and your stored reading. The data then expires on schedule.
Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly store birth details submitted by a child. If you believe a child's details have been submitted, email us and we will delete them.
Legal basis
We operate from India and process this data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You provide your birth details voluntarily in order to receive a reading, and this notice is the notice that Act requires. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete your data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and rely on you not re-reading the page.
